Chris Randazzo

Founder & Managing Partner

As founder responsible for the firm's initial transactions, Chris brings a distinguished 20-year track record to each Main Line Equity Partners portfolio company by providing strategic sales and marketing planning, investment analysis, and operational execution. Previously, Chris served as VP Sales for A&D software company (PRICE Systems) and VP Sales for metals distribution business (MSI); also owner of real estate company (RAND Property Holdings). Holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University.

Mark Gorman

Managing Director

Mark leverages more than 15 years of experience in the private equity and alternative asset industries, bringing significant transactional, analytical, and marketing practices across the entire capital structure to each portfolio company. Previously, Mark worked with companies seeking to raise capital for various projects and growth opportunities (Hidden River Capital); served as Portfolio Manager for a $3 billion fund of hedge funds (Attalus Capital); was in charge of the due diligence leading to the allocation of $2 billion plus in private equity commitments on an annual basis (Hamilton Lane Advisors); and worked for a private equity and mezzanine finance group of a regional financial institution (CoreStates Financial Corporation). Holds a J.D. and M.B.A with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.A.in both Political Science and German from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jim Mayhall

Managing Director

With more than 15 years of experience as a strategic sales executive and healthcare IT investor, Jim uses his industry expertise to cultivate and grow Main Line Equity Partners' portfolio companies. Previously served as Director of Business Development (Portico Systems prior to its acquisition by McKesson Health Solutions); also owner of advisory/venture equity company serving healthcare technology companies (Echo4 LLC). Holds a B.A. in Political Science with an Economics minor from Villanova University.

Douglas B. Hart

Operating Partner

Doug brings more than 25 years of extensive experience as an Owner, Operator, and Advisor of small to mid market businesses across a wide variety of manufacturing and consumer product industries—leading Operations, Sales, and New Product Development.

Prior to joining Main Line Equity Partners, Doug served as Director and COO for a privately owned composite materials manufacturer for the Medical Devices, Aerospace, Military, and Outdoor Recreational products industries (Uretek-Archer); established Hart Advisory Group, a successful small to mid market business advisory firm focused on driving client sales, income, and enterprise growth through best of breed operating practices across all phases of operations; and owned an international manufacturer of engineered industrial consumable products with five divisions and 1,200 employees in the U.S., Europe, and Asia (Reeves Brothers, Inc.), at which time he served as President and COO for all operations of Reeves Automotive Airbag Group, where he oversaw the startup and growth of this division into the largest airbag fabric systems manufacturer in North and South America. Doug was also an AVP of a pension fund investment group (Smith Barney's Sentinel Real Estate Corporation).

He has broad contacts within the management consulting, banking, private equity, audit, executive compensation, search, and legal professions. Holds a B.S. in Economics from Hobart College. Doug is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, and the Manufacturing Association of America. He has also served on the Advisory Board of the State of Connecticut's Technology Incubation Program.

Richard DeFelice

Senior Associate

Richard brings 10 years of experience leading due diligence teams and managing the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Joint Venture processes for transactions ranging from $500 thousand to $300 million.

Prior to joining Main Line Equity Partners, Richard served as Lead Analyst within the Strategy and Corporate Development Group at Westinghouse Electric Company—a group company of Toshiba Corporation—helping grow the company through organic and acquisition opportunities. He was also an M&A Associate and Advisor for the Ventura Group and was part of the Economic & Business Consulting team at Charles River Associates.

Richard holds an MBA in Finance, Accounting, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business. He also holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University where he majored in Finance and Management Information Systems.

Steve Afonso

Analyst

Prior to joining Main Line Equity Partners, Steve served as an analyst intern for international financial services firms. At UBS Financial Services in a Wealth Management division, he conducted research on activity within the market and provided clients with allocation analysis and investment solutions contingent upon individual risk tolerance. Steve also worked within the Energy & Currency Options division of Tradition Financial Services (TFS)—a brokerage of financial and non-financial products. At TSF, he served as the liaison for institutional clients seeking to buy or sell a variety of financial products and gained an in-depth understanding about futures contracts, spot rates, and key oil indexes.

Steve also served as Energy Sector Analyst for the Villanova Equity Society—a prestigious Student Managed Fund of ~$220,000 where he was one of twenty students (out of over 100 applicants) to be admitted to the program after completing a rigorous 10-week training and interview process

Steve holds a B.S. in Finance and International Business from Villanova University. He is fluent in Portuguese; Conversational Proficiency in Spanish.
